It should be noted that this recap comes a little later than usual as the Reed Family Racing family has temporarily relocated to Ooltewah while repairs are completed at home.

TW Reed and the #53 returned to Huntsville Speedway on Saturday, August 29, with the car still carrying visible reminders of its previous race. Damage remained on the door from July 4, giving the #53 a battle-scarred appearance as it returned to competition for the first time in nearly two months.

Although repairs to Logan Conner’s #52 are still underway, Logan was at the track working alongside the rest of the team throughout the weekend.

It did not take long for the #53 to pick up another scar. During the second practice session, the car suffered rear-end damage, leaving the team with significant work to complete before the feature. Everyone went to work replacing the rear bumper, pulling the damaged body panels away from the car and making sure TW could return to the track.

The repairs held, the car performed well and TW completed the team’s effort by driving the #53 to a third-place finish.

“We worked hard after that 2nd practice session to get the car repaired, but it ran well,” TW said. “We replaced the rear bumper, pulled the body panels out and the car ran great.”

TW also emphasized after the race that the result belonged to the entire team. From the repairs performed after practice to Logan helping in the pits and TW finishing the job on the track, everyone contributed to putting the #53 on the podium.

The damage visible on the car told the story of a difficult stretch, but the result told another one. The #53 may have looked battle-scarred, but a full team effort proved it still had plenty of speed and fight left.

Even with the battle scars, the #53 found its way to a 3rd place podium finish.

Reed Family Racing will return to Huntsville Speedway on September 12 for the team’s final race at the track in 2026. Both TW's #53 and Logan's #52 will be back for the September 12th race.
